Today I woke up and decided to start a new weight loss program called My Water Diet. This is a system that I've developed on my own; a simple weight loss program that incorporates real food with cardiovascular training, strength training, the benefits of sleep and the consumption of a famous chemical called "H2O", otherwise known as "water". The idea is to replace processed beverages with "water" whenever possible.
Since I own an iPhone I am going to be using an App called "Weightbot" (pictured above and below) to track my progress. This little App will not only allow me to keep a log of my weight, but it also has handy tools that will enable me to see if I am on the right track. As you can see by the screenshot above, my current weight is 270.0 pounds. My goal is to weigh no more than 200 pounds by the end of this year.
There are exactly 271 days left until the end of this year, and so in order for me to reach my goal I will have to lose an average of 0.258 pounds per day (1.81 pounds per week or 7.75 pounds per month).
What's cool about Weightbot is that it gives you a chart (above) so you can visually see if you are on your way towards meeting your goal. It also gives you a breakdown (below) of all the weight you have lost since the start of your weight loss program.
Those of you with keen eyes may have noticed that Weightbot says that I only have 270 days left, but that's because it's not counting today. In reality, I have 271 days left (trust me, I did the math!) and so by day 271 (December 31st, 2011), I will weigh 200 pounds! How exciting!!!
During my weight loss journey, I am not only going to lose weight, but I am also going to learn a lot about diet & nutrition, cardiovascular & strength training, the benefits of sleep, and who knows what else! So be sure to check back often for some great information. Who knows? You might even find yourself one day on My Water Diet too!
